When you arrive at Victorian Hearing, you’ll be welcomed to our clinic by a member of our friendly and experienced client support staff. They’ll guide you in the right direction and address any enquiries you may have.
After being greeted to our clinic by Amy or Nicole, you will then be seen by one of our fully qualified and experienced audiologists.
Audiologists are hearing specialists who are qualified to test hearing and assess the nature of disorders in this area. They’re responsible for the non-medical management and rehabilitation of hearing loss and associated disorders of communication, including the provision of hearing aids.
Our audiologists have all met state and national qualification requirements, attaining the highest level of preparation for health care service delivery. Our patients can be confident that our team all hold post graduate University degrees, making them extremely qualified to administer comprehensive hearing health care services. They all hold current Certificates of Clinical Practice, are full members of Audiology Australia – the industry professional body – and maintain a keen focus on continuing their education, ensuring they are always abreast of current technologies, advances and practices in the field.
Nicole graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1991, and has been dedicated to the practice of audiology ever since. She worked for Australian Hearing for 16 years, specialising in paediatrics and complex adult work. She thrives on being able to improve the communication experience and quality of life for patients on a daily basis. Nicole joined Victorian Hearing in its start-up phase in 2006 and enjoys both her clinical and management roles. Nicole is also one of our Lyric specialists, and consults from our Brighton, Clayton, Hampton and Mornington clinics.
Angela graduated from the University of Melbourne and has practised in many areas of audiology, with a focus on tinnitus management. Angela’s warm smile is a comfort to new patients feeling unsure, and also serves as a ‘welcome back’ to her devoted long-term patients. Angela is based at our North Fitzroy and North Balwyn clinics and runs our hearing specialist tinnitus management programs.
Patrice graduated from Macquarie University in 1995. After realising her passion for audiology, she returned to university to complete a Masters of Audiology in 1998. Patrice worked in the UK at the Neurology and Neurosurgery Hospital, and Northampton Hospital. She returned to Australia to a management role in Sydney, but decided to give up surfing before work every morning to relocate to Melbourne. Patrice takes great pride in her trouble-shooting skills, ensuring the right hearing aid is matched to each and every ear. Passionate about her work, music and Lyric, Patrice consults from our Malvern and Clayton clinics.
Gyneth graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996. She is a wonderfully experienced audiologist who joins us after 16 years with Australian Hearing, where she worked with both Nicole and Beronia. Gyneth has worked continuously in Audiology, with a focus on personalising rehabilitation programs to meet each client’s individual needs. With great professionalism and a friendly nature, we’re delighted to have Gyneth join our clinical team of hearing specialists. Gyneth is qualified to fit the 24/7 extended wear Lyric hearing solution and perform cerumen removal. Gyneth is based at our head office at Monash Specialist Centre, Clayton.
Maryam holds a bachelor degree from Monash University in Biomedical Science and a Master degree in Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne.
During the completion of her Master’s thesis, Maryam explored the difficulties surrounding hearing aid use in older Australian populations. She has since carried this knowledge and passion into daily clinical practise with excellent clinical outcomes for both clients and their families.
Maryam prides herself on getting to deeply understand each client’s needs. This is where she then excels in developing tailored hearing rehabilitations programs to meet each individuals desired goals.
There is nothing more rewarding for Maryam to see a positive change in client lives through improved hearing and communication. Outside of audiology, Maryam enjoys playing sports and socialising with friends and family. Maryam is a fully accredited member of Audiology Australia and holds a current Clinical Certificate of Practise (CCP) through ongoing professional development and training programs. Maintaining the highest standards of ethical practise and honest advice, Maryam consults in our head office at Monash Specialist Center in Clayton, Melbourne CBD and Geelong rooms.
Nicole has been a receptionist and customer service consultant since 2001 in the Audiology industry.
There are many issues and much information concerning hearing, hearing testing and associated products and services. Nicole has a wealth of experience in dealing with enquiries, and arranging appointments for our clients, to get you the right advice and help that you may need. She is the friendly face at our reception desk – welcoming our clients, responding to queries, providing a hearing aid maintenance service and trouble-shooting hearing aid concerns. She has extensive experience in dealing with the administration of the Commonwealth Government’s hearing program, the Office of Hearing Services.
Amy is our friendly and helpful receptionist, providing assistance at our front desk as well as answering enquiries over the phone. She’s worked in many different areas of administration and reception, and has an extensive background in the visual arts, driven by a passion for all things creative.
Fotini is our helpful, happy and friendly receptionist providing assistance at our front desk and over the phone. Fotini graduated from RMIT University in 2000 with a Diploma of Business in Information Technology and completed her Diploma of Management from Rochdale Institute in 2013. Fotini joins our Victorian Hearing team with 4 years industry experience. Her passion, love, experience and main skills for 20 years have been in customer service, office administration and management. Fotini, at all times, provides professional, helpful , friendly, patient care and makes sure customer service comes first.
